Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins Trains

Check-in for the tour is at 2:20pm at the Amtrak Jack London Oakland Station. The tour goes from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

Highlighting developments in Richmond and Emeryville

The tour begins at the Richmond Transit Village, located at the Richmond Intermodal Station, which represents a partnership between the City of Richmond and San Francisco Bay Area Rapid transit. The Richmond Transit Village presently includes a new station entrance; a welcoming new plaza, paseo and transit facility; a 769-space consolidated parking structure; 10,000 square feet of retail, and 132 market-rate and affordable for-sale townhome units on the westside of the station. The next phase of the Richmond Transit Village will will involve the development of the former BART parking lot and adjacent City property on the east side of the station, which will include 100 new residential units.

The tour concludes at EmeryStation, a collection of seven commercial and residential properties surrounding the Emeryville Amtrak station on the east side of the rail line, the first of which were built in the late 1990s. The Terraces, to the south of the station, is a residential condominium building, while the other buildings, to the east and north of the station, are office and laboratory buildings. The most recent building, EmeryStation West/Transit Center, immediately north of the station, also includes parking for Amtrak customers and bus bays for Amtrak buses, enabling passengers to step across the rail platform directly to their transit connections.
